Hello and welcome to the blog.
Arctic sea ice concentration for 17/10/2020 was 5.49M Km2.

Antarctica sea ice concentration for the same day was 18.47M Km2, again holding on to a great extent in 2020.

Once again we turn to long term trend, October again will show an increase in concentration for 2020 with the first half being well over 18.5M Km2.

Greenland
Greenland SMB Daily additions yesterday was one again at record levels for the date with an incredible contribution of 7.582M Km2 or 758200000000 metric tons, think about that for a minute, it's astonishing.

This takes the SMBacc past the 100 Gigatons for the season so far.

It also lifts the balance over the 1981-2010 average, something you'll not see on MSM or tabloid headlines.
That concludes today's update.
Thanks
David.
