Hi and welcome to the blog, the sea ice concentration for the Arctic region 16/10/2020 was 5.43M Km2.

Again, although we are seeing growth, pressure and winds are making it difficult.
Antarctica still continues to show great concentration although we do see a slight melt, this is completely natural as we head into SH summer.

Concentration stands at 18.53M Km2.
Greenland
Greenland SMBacc is currently 97.1Gt's or 97100000000 metric tons yesterday, contribution was 1.517 Gigatons or 1500000000 metric tons.

Since September 3rd there has not been a Negative day.

Greenland SMBacc and Daily additions currently remain above the 1981-2010 mean as shown above.
Looking at surface conditions SW Greenland is expected to see nearly 100cms of fresh snow within the next 72hrs.
